MUMBAI METRO RAIL TIME TABLE SCHEDULE ROUTES AND TICKET FARES

To Cut Off with Crowded Local Trains of Mumbai, The alternate fast, robust and convenient solution of Metro Trains connecting Western and Central Suburbs has been started on 8th June 2014. Below are the updated details about Metro trains Timings (Timetable & Schedules), Stations and Routes, Daily and Monthly Fares ( Pass System etc), Ticketing system, Security features, Technical details and some more details about Mumbai’s first metro rail project.

TICKETING

Any person wishing to travel on the Metro Railway shall, upon payment, be issued with a ticket (Token / Smart Card) by Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. or by an agent authorized by Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. on its behalf.

1. Contactless Smart Card for Multiple Journeys (CSC)
2. Contactless Smart Token for Multiple Journeys (CST)

The best way to travel on the metro is with a Smart Card. This is an electronic card that can be obtained over the counter from Customer Care of any metro station or authorized channel. Smart Card can be obtained by paying security deposit of Rs.50, Smart Card can be loaded with Store Value Pass or Trip Based Monthly Pass. The Store Value Pass is an electronic purse with some pre-loaded monetary value as per your choice. Each time you use the metro, the ticket value will be deducted from the monetary value stored in the Smart Card at the exit gate as per fare chart. The minimum recharge value is Rs.100 and maximum monetary value that can be stored is Rs.3000. Buying a Smart Card will help you save time by avoiding queues at ticket counters. Trip Based Monthly Pass will be launched shortly.

FARES
 
FARE NOTIFIED FOR INITIAL OPENING OF THE MUMBAI METRO LINE 1 (VERSOVA – ANDHERI – GHATKOPAR CORRIDOR) TO BE Rs 10 TO Rs 40
FOR 30 DAYS, FLAT PROMOTIONAL FARE OF RS 10 BETWEEN ANY TWO STATIONS
NOTIFIED FARE TO BE AS FOLLOWS


Explanations to the abbreviations used in the above table for various station name:
V – Versova; DN – D N Nagar; AZ – Azad Nagar; AND – Andheri; WEH – Western Express Highway; CHK – Chakala (J B Nagar); APR – Airport Road; MAR – Marol Naka; SKN – Saki Naka; ASA – Asalpha; JN – Jagruti Nagar; GHK - Ghatkopar

TRAIN SCHEDULE

Weekdays (Monday to Saturday)

The service will commence from 05:30 hrs until 24:00 hrs. The headway between each train will be 4 minutes at peak hours and 8 minutes at non-peak hours.
The 1st train will leave at 05:30 hrs from both terminals i.e. Versova and Ghatkopar.
The last train from Versova will leave at 23:10 hrs.
The last train from Ghatkopar will leave at 23:35 hrs.

Weekend (Sunday)

The service will commence from 05:30 hrs until 24:00 hrs. The headway between each train will be 8 minutes.
The 1st train will leave at 05:30 hrs from both terminals i.e. Versova and Ghatkopar.
The last train from Versova will leave at 23:10 hrs.
The last train from Ghatkopar will leave at 23:35 hrs.
